SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ) – The public has a chance to weigh in on a proposed golf course.
An August 24 open house has been scheduled for people to voice their opinions on the master plan amendment for a planned 18-hole course adjacent to Sheboygan’s Kohler-Andrae State Park.
Kohler Company wants to build the course on land it owns to the north of the park.
The company is looking to use roughly five acres of park property for access to the golf course, the construction of a maintenance facility, and access to electricity, sewer, and water.
At its June meeting, the DNR approved initiating a master plan amendment process.
The meeting will run from 5-7 pm in the Sheboygan Falls High School gymnasium, 220 Amherst Avenue.
