MILWAUKEE, WI (MetroSource) Ryan Braun’s two-run single capped a three-run seventh inning as the Brewers rallied to down the Reds, 5-4, at Miller Park.
Chris Carter hit his career-high 38th home run of the year. Brent Suter [[ SOO-ter ]] earned the win, and Tyler Thornburg closed things out for his 13th save of the season.
The Brewers’ defense turned a triple play in the first inning, its second of the season.
Cincinnati’s Anthony DeSclafani [[ DEE-scla-faw-nee ]] took the loss, allowing all five runs over six innings. Jose Peraza [[ per-AZ-uh ]] homered in defeat.
The two teams play again tonight at Miller Park.
