MILWAUKEE, WI (MetroSource) A Milwaukee man accused of killing three of his neighbors is now considered competent to stand trial. The “Journal Sentinel” reports a doctor submitted a report last week that indicates Dan Popp has been faking recent mental health problems.
Authorities say Popp shot and killed three people in March inside an apartment complex in the 33-hundred block of South 92nd Street.
In April, a judge ruled he was incompetent to proceed in the case so he was later admitted to the Mendota Mental Health Institute for treatment.
