MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) – According to GasBuddy, drivers in the Green Bay and Appleton areas were paying $2.33 per gallon on average Sunday.
That’s up 9.3 cents in the Appleton area and 6.1 cents in Green Bay compared to a week earlier.
And analysts say prices may keep going up.
Greg Laskoski is a senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy.
“With crude oil prices rallying over the past 6 weeks, reaching the highest point that we’ve seen since November ($48.50/ bbl.) before Friday’s close, we should expect wholesale and retail gasoline prices to rise further”
Despite the recent jump at the pump, however, gas costs less than it did a year ago.
In the Green Bay area, the price is down about 34 cents per gallon compared to the price at this time in 2015.
