MADISON, Wis. (Wisconsin Radio Network) — A Green Bay-area lawmaker says the company that owns a fuel pipeline between the city and Milwaukee plans to replace it.
State Representative John Macco spoke with officials from the West Shore Pipe Line. Macco says, “They’ll be putting in a brand new pipeline with all new technology. It will have higher capacity, faster flow, and more ecologically sound, so we’re pretty excited about that but it will take them about two years before that comes on line.”
The current pipeline is 60-years-old and is the only one serving northeast Wisconsin. Fuel is currently being trucked in to the area, while it’s been shut down.
