MADISON, Wis (MetroSource) Milwaukee Democratic State Senator Tim Carpenter says it’s time for Wisconsin to revisit hate crime laws.
Carpenter yesterday said he plans to reintroduce his hate crime legislation. Carpenter says after the attacks in Orlando, there’s a new need to focus on hate crimes.
His plan would mean enhanced penalties for crimes “due to the victim’s race, religion, color, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, or ancestry.”
