UNDATED (WSAU) — The last week of flooding in northwest Wisconsin has left almost $30 million in damages.
Roughly $1.8 million in housing damage and another $27.8 million in public infrastructure damage have been assessed by the Wisconsin Emergency Operations Center. Ashland and Bayfield counties and Bad River tribal lands were affected the most by the storms.
More rain is expected in the region on Sunday afternoon, but not nearly to the levels experienced a week ago. U.S. Highway 2 in Ashland County has been completely reopened to light traffic, with the last piece of repairs in that county on the major artery expected to be complete by Friday the 22nd.
