MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) – The new Marquette University Law School poll was released Thursday, and has the two leading Democratic presidential candidates tied in Wisconsin.
Among Wisconsin Democrats, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was virtually tied 45 percent to 43 percent with Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders.
Among Republicans, businessman Donald Trump led at 24 percent, Florida Senator Marco Rubio was at 18 percent, Texas Senator Ted Cruz at 16 percent, and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 8 percent.
Experts caution that the polling shouldn’t be used as a firm prediction for how Wisconsin primary voters will cast their ballots in the April presidential primary, since results of actual voting in earlier states will affect the race, starting with the Iowa caucuses on Monday.
