MILWAUKEE (Wheeler News) — The renovated bottling house at the Pabst Brewing Company complex in Milwaukee will live again as student housing when it re-opens in August.
The structure sat dormant for almost 20 years. It will have 151 apartments on its three floors, providing a temporary home for more than 400 students. Nearly two dozen students have signed up for the 2016-2017 academic year already.
It cost 43 million dollars to refurbish the building near Marquette University and Milwaukee School of Engineering.
