(WNFL) – The Wisconsin men’s hockey team dominated play, but didn’t score the winning goal until early in the final period in a 1-0 shutout of Trinity Western. The Badgers controlled the action in Friday’s exhibition, out-shooting Trinity 49-17. Patrick Sexton’s first goal as a Badger came at the 2:44 mark of the third period. Freshmen goaltenders Matt Jurusik and Gabe Grunwald stopped 17 shots. Wisconsin gets back to Big Ten Conference play next weekend when Ohio State visits Madison.
