MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) – A nine-year-old Milwaukee boy has died after he was found unresponsive following surgery to remove his tonsils.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office says the boy, Solomon Womack, was found unresponsive last Tuesday at a home on East Locust Street after returning from an outpatient tonsillectomy.
He was taken to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin where he died on Friday.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
His father, Gary Womack, told investigators that a sample of the oxycodone given to Solomon after the operation has been sent to be tested.
