The Milwaukee Bucks snapped a five game losing streak, barely, by beating the Boston Celtics 112-111 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center Tuesday night. The Bucks held a 19 point lead heading into the 4th quarter but Boston, winners of four straight and nine of their last 10, rallied to tie the game in the final minute. Greg Monroe, who came off the bench for the first time this year, capped his 29 point, 12 rebound effort with a go ahead basket with just one second left on the clock. Boston’s Kelly Olynyk got fouled reaching for an inbounds pass and calmly made two free throws to get the game back even at 111. With still one second remaining, the Bucks took a time out and inbounded the ball in the front court. Khris Middleton got fouled just as he reached for the pass and he made the first free throw with only six-tenths of a second to go. Middleton intentionally missed the second shot and Boston had no time to make a play. Middleton finished with 20 points as the Bucks improved to 21-32 on the season. They’ll wrap up the first half before this weekend’s All-Star break by hosting the Washington Wizards Thursday night.
