APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Appleton police say one man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting last month.
Officials say the 22-year-old man, who used to live in Appleton, was arrested at a Milwaukee home with the help of U.S. Marshals.
The shooting took place in the area of Memorial Drive and Aykens Street on the city’s south side back on July 12. Investigators say an argument between two people who knew each other led to the man opening fire several times on another vehicle while driving south on Memorial Drive.
No one was hurt and the shooter fled the area.
The suspect has not been formally charged. Prosecutors in Winnebago County, where the crime happened, say he will not be charged Friday.
