MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities say a Manitowoc man has been arrested on suspicion of his sixth drunken driving offense.
An OWI task force operation over the weekend conducted by the Wisconsin State Patrol led to a trooper spotting a driver who didn’t have his seat belt buckled around 1:20 a.m. Sunday.
Once the driver pulled over into a parking lot near Calumet and Dewey streets in Manitowoc, the trooper believed the man might have been drunk.
The 49-year-old man failed field sobriety tests. He has not been formally charged in the case.
