(WNFL) – According to the Star-Tribune, Amir Coffey, a 6-7 guard, has chosen to attend the University of Minnesota and play basketball for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Coffey had been recruited by Minnesota, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michiagn State, Indiana, Arizona, Baylor and Texas.
Coffey’s father Richard played for the Gophers from 1986 to 1990. The younger Coffey is consider the No. 41 overall recruit, according to Scout.com.
