MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – It’s Election Day in Waukesha County, where voters are choosing a new state representative.
Four Republicans are seeking the post held by Chris Kapenga before he was elected to the Senate in July.
Dave Westlake of Hartland, a U.S. Senate hopeful from 2010, is on Tuesday’s ballot. Delafield Town Supervisor Cindi Duchow has picked up some high profile endorsements, including one from former Governor Tommy Thompson.
The other candidates are Scott Owens,an insurance agent from Genesee — and limousine chauffeur Spencer Zimmerman of Delafield.
Technically, Tuesday’s winner will advance to a general election September 29th. However, no Democrats are running in the highly conservative Assembly district.
