MILWAUKEE (WSAU-Wheeler News) A judge in Milwaukee will decide this (Thursday) morning whether a boys’ group home operator should stand trial for molesting a teenage passer-by at gunpoint. 37-year old Jemarro Dantzler of Brown Deer is charged with first-degree child sexual assault by force. He’s accused of attacking a 15-year-old boy who was walking home on July 19th.
Police say Dantzler raped him at gunpoint and gave him $40-dollars. A month later, Dantzler reportedly invited the teen to join him on Facebook, and investigators then matched the suspect’s and the victim’s D-N-A.
Dantzler runs the Passage Living Center for boys age-14-to-16. Six residents were arrested at the site in the past year. Officials say a boy took his own life by hanging from a tree in the center’s back yard just four days before the sexual assault.
State officials say they wanted to revoke Dantzler’s group home license in April for financial issues — but they let him keep running the home during an appeal process.
