(WNFL) – Three former Milwaukee Brewers played roles in Division Series playoff games Friday. First baseman Prince Fielder went one-for-four in the Texas Rangers’ 6-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Texas leads that series two-game-to-none. Carlos Gomez is limited by an injury, but he was a pinch-runner during Kansas City’s 5-4 win over Houston. Playing for the Astros, Gomez was picked off first base. That series is tied at one game apiece. And, former Brewer infielder Mark Reynolds was a late-game defensive replacement for the St. Louis Cardinals in their 4-0 win over the Chicago Cubs. Reynolds was oh-for-one as the Cardinals went up one-game-to-none.
Additionally, Ned Yost is the Royals’ manager, Alcides Escobar is the Royals shortstop and Lorenzo Cain is in the outfield.
Houston, in addition to Gomez, has Mike Fiers pitching for them and Zac Greinke pitches for the Dodgers.
