UNDATED (WTAQ) – December-type storms are rolling into Wisconsin almost right on cue.
Sleet, snow, and rain arrived in southwest Wisconsin overnight.
Winter weather advisories continue through noon Monday in the region, and they’ll continue into Wednesday in the northwest.
Several school districts are closed all day — including Kickapoo, La Farge, Hillsboro, De Soto, Viroqua, Westby, and North Crawford, all in southwest areas. Other schools in that region began their classes 2 hours late Monday morning.
West central Wisconsin can expect 1 to 5 inches of snow plus a coating of ice, mainly Monday night and Tuesday.
The northwest part of the state is supposed to get the brunt of the snow — 4 to 6 inches, with rain and sleet Monday afternoon before it changes to all snow.
