TOWN OF VIENNA, WI (WTAQ) – A 10-year-old girl has died of injuries she suffered in a Monday accident near DeForest.
Wisconsin State Patrol accident investigators say 16-year-old Esperanza Cook stopped her car on the shoulder due to mechanical problems. When she tried to pull back onto the interstate, she was hit from behind by a pickup driver by 22-year-old Ashley Imme of New Berlin.
Cook’s car rolled and three other people inside suffered injuries. The 10-year-old girl died while she was being treated at UW Hospital.
