(WNFL) – Wisconsin Badger football coach Paul Chryst told WIBA Radio in Madison this morning that he has contacted the Big Ten Office twice and both times they supported the decision to reverse a Badger touchdown in the closing seconds of Saturday’s 13-7 Wisconsin loss to Northwestern. Joel Stave’s 1-yard pass to Jazz Peavy was ruled a touchdown on the field, but the call was overturned by replay officials moments later. Stave’s next pass went incomplete on fourth down and the Badgers wound up losing on Senior Day at Camp Randall. Chryst said he believes the play was a touchdown and shouldn’t have been reversed. Chryst said the catch rule needs to be revisited but the Badgers can no longer dwell on what should have been. They have one more game left, at Minnesota this Saturday.
