WAUPACA, Wis. (WSAU) — A driver traveling the wrong way on a portion of Highway 10 year Waupaca died after colliding with another vehicle Sunday.
Wisconsin State Patrol officials say an 86-year-old man from Manawa was westbound in the eastbound lanes by Anderson Road about a mile west of the Fulton Street/Highway 49 North and 54 West interchange. His 2013 Chevy Equinox collided with a 2004 Toyota. State Patrol officials did not release the gender of the injured driver, the model of Toyota, or any identities.
The injured driver remains hospitalized at an undisclosed medical facility.
The crash occurred at around 5:30 p.m., and remains under investigation.
