BLACK RIVER FALLS, WI (WTAQ) – A 27-year-old man is under arrest for murder after he allegedly told authorities he shot a man.
55-year-old Randy Perry of Warrens died at a home east of Black River Falls in the Jackson County town of Knapp.
Sheriff Duane Waldera says deputies in neighboring Monroe County were told that a caller shot a man just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The suspect, who’s from Altoona, reportedly did not leave the scene and cooperated with officers.
Waldera says the man was arrested within a half-hour after his officers arrived.
The State Justice Department, its crime lab, and the State Patrol were helping local officers with an investigation that continues.
