(WNFL) – Green Bay cornerback Sam Shields said he was able to move around pretty well in practice on Wednesday and felt that his injured shoulder was improving enough that he could play Sunday against Detroit. Shields suffered a shoulder sprain in the first quarter of the Denver game two weeks ago and didn’t play last week against Carolina. The Packers practiced without pads today, but Shields said his shoulder has still responded well. He said if he were able to play against Detroit, he would wear a brace on his shoulder to help keep it from opening too far and causing a recurrence of the injury.
