It all happened with two outs. The Detroit Tigers rallied to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-2 Wednesday night at Comerica Park to salvage the final game of the series. The back and forth contest had Kyle Lohse against Shane Greene and both pitchers left after giving up a couple of runs. Lohse constantly worked out of trouble through his six innings while Greene gave up a solo home run to Ryan Braun in the 4th. It was Braun’s 10th of the season, 7th in the last 20 games, giving him 790 runs batted in for his career, tying Paul Molitor for third place on the all-time franchise list. Ellian Herrera’s RBI double in the 7th got the game even at 2. In the bottom of the 8th, Johnathan Broxton retired the first two batters but then gave up back to back singles. He loaded the bases with a walk before Nick Castellanos ripped a three run triple behind Gerardo Parra into the right field corner for the margin of victory. The Brewers were looking to complete their first series sweep of the season. Milwaukee (15-26) will wrap up the 10 game, three city road trip with a four game series in Atlanta. Matt Garza will open against the Braves who will counter with Julio Tehran. Pre-game coverage begins at 5:35 PM on WTAQ.
