ANCHORAGE, AK (WTAQ) – The body of a northern Wisconsin man missing for nine months in Alaska has been found in a river.
State troopers in Anchorage said there were no signs of foul play in the death of 73-year-old Roger Yaeger of Eagle River.
Troopers said they were told by relatives that Yaeger was suicidal — and there’s evidence that he took his own life.
Officials said Yaeger went to Alaska last summer — and relatives last heard from him in August, when he went to see a family member in Wasilla.
A few days later, he returned a rental car to a business in Anchorage.
