MILWAUKEE (WSAU-Wheeler News) Funeral services will be held tonight near Milwaukee for a Marine killed in a helicopter crash during a training mission along Florida’s Gulf coast. Visitation begins at three this afternoon at Port Washington High School for 27-year-old Staff Sergeant Kerry Kemp. The service will be held there tonight at 7pm. He’ll later be buried with full military honors at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington.
Kemp was among seven Marine special forces killed on March 10th, when their chopper went down in dense fog on the edge of the Florida Panhandle. Four experienced National Guard soldiers were also killed.
Kemp graduated from Port Washington High School in 2005.
