MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – A Rhinelander woman has been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in federal prison, for selling a stolen rifle after she was convicted of previous felonies.
District Judge William Conley of Madison cited Bonnie Wolff’s extensive criminal history in both Wisconsin and Minnesota over a period of 11 years. That includes felony drug and burglary convictions.
The 29-year-old Wolff pleaded guilty in mid-January to a federal charge of possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. She was arrested last August after selling a loaded rifle to undercover officers.
Wolff reportedly admitted stealing the gun from somebody she knew. After leaving prison, Wolff will spend three years under federal supervision.
