Letroy Guion will avoid jail time following his arrest last month in Florida where he was charged with two felony counts. Following a traffic stop in Starke, Florida, police found two bags containing 357 grams of marijuana in his pick-up truck, along with a boxed, .357 semi-automatic hand gun and $190,000.00 in cash. Guion was charged with possession and having a weapon while in possession of marijuana. Under a deferred prosecution agreement, Guion will be placed on probation. In his first year with the Green Bay Packers, Guion appeared in every game and recorded a career high three and a half sacks. General Manager Ted Thompson indicated at last month’s NFL Scouting Combine that he would like Guion to return as a free agent pending the outcome of his case. He still might face disciplinary action from the league over the arrest.
