ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAU) — Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch had some high praise for Governor Walker at an appearance in Rothschild on Monday.
When asked about her prospects if Governor Walker was elected president, Kleefisch reminded reporters that Walker still hasn’t announced his bid for the Presidency, and that he’s still the Governor. She added that Walker’s track record in Wisconsin has him on the forefront of possible Republican candidates for president. “We’ve got a fantastic Governor of whom I am terribly proud, and he would not be landing on the front page of every newspaper in america right now if not for his great policies in Wisconsin.”
Kleefisch added that Wisconsin’s success is pushing Walker to the front of the pack in polls. “We’re doing really, really well as a state, and I think that’s why he’s got so much attention. Because is Wisconsin is succeeding, and Wisconsin’s success is a success for all of her people as well.”
Walker placed second in the recent Presidential straw poll at CPAC behind Rand Paul.
