(WNFL) – It’s been over a month since Cole Hamels recorded a victory. The Philadelphia left-hander will try to end a five-game winless streak tonight, when he starts on his home mound against the Milwaukee Brewers. Hamels won four straight starts from May 8th-through-23rd. He’s 0-3 since then, with a 3.82 ERA in his last five outings. For the year, Hamels is 5-6 with an ERA of just over three-and-a-quarter. The 2008 World Series MVP is Philadelphia’s major trade bait, as contenders look to trade prospects for stars that will get them to the post-season. Milwaukee will also be sellers as the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline gets closer. Both the Brewers and Phillies have the Majors’ two worst records — with Milwaukee now three games ahead of Philly after a Brewers’ victory last evening. Tonight, rookie Taylor Jungmann will make his fifth career start for the Crew. He’s 2-and-1 with a 2.74 ERA. Jungmann threw five scoreless innings last Thursday in a no-decision against the New York Mets.
