OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – Five Oshkosh teenagers have been arrested following a strong armed robbery overnight.
Police say a 23-year-old man was walking in the 600 block of Jefferson Street around 12:15 a.m. Thursday when a group on bicycles knocked him down and took his wallet and phone.
Officers say they approached two teens at Broad Street and E. Parkway Avenue about 15 minutes later. The victim positively identified both of them as the ones that stole his wallet and phone. The victim’s phone was found on one of them.
The males, ages 14 and 18, were arrested. Information gathered from them led police to arrest 3 other suspects: two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old.
The four juveniles were taken to secure juvenile facilities in Brown County and Fond du Lac. The 18-year-old was jailed.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
