BARABOO, WI (WTAQ) – A man doing maintenance work was seriously hurt after falling into a water tower in Baraboo.
A company from Michigan is doing cleanup, repairs, and a repainting of the tower.
Officials said the contracted employee fell from one platform to another inside the stem of the tower — and the fall could have been as much as 70 feet.
First responders lowered the victim to the ground. He was flown to UW Hospital in Madison with serious injuries.
Baraboo Police are investigating, and they were expected to be joined Wednesday by federal workplace safety officials.
