(WNFL)- Green Bay Packers’ running back Eddie Lacy says he wants to start his third season stronger than he did his first two. Yesterday was his 25th birthday, and he spent part of it on the field as the Packers began their second week of OTA practices. Lacy said peaked near the end of his first two NFL seasons and this year, he wants to be solid from game one. He said he’d rather put pressure on a defender to tackle him, instead of having to make a move to get a defensive back to miss. Lacy said he got some much-needed rest in the off-season. He had 286 carries last season. The former Alabama college star says he’s not worried about his weight although fans seem to bring it up from time-to-time. The Packers officially list Lacy at 230 pounds. Meanwhile, first-round draft pick Damarious Russell worked at corner in his first full practice as a Packer. He struggled with an injured ankle in the first week of the OTA’s, and at the team’s rookie camp.
