MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) – A federal judge could decide Thursday whether an ex-Milwaukee business executive will be freed after serving just over half her 11 year prison term.
Sue Sachdeva has been serving time since early 2011, for embezzling $34 million from the Koss Corporation.
Her sentence has already been chopped by two-and-a-half years for good behavior. Now, a prosecutor says the 51-year-old Sachdeva deserves another two-year break for helping convict two other men who stole property bought with the embezzled funds.
For now, Sachdeva will be freed in August of 2019.
Milwaukee District Judge Lynn Adelman will decide whether to make it 2017, for a term of 99 months. She’s also helping Koss in related lawsuits filed by the headphone maker against American Express and Park Bank.
