(WNFL) – Right-hander Taylor Jungmann suffered through a rocky first inning and that was all it took for Arizona to blank the Brewers 2-0 in Phoenix Saturday night. Rubby De La Rosa shut out Milwaukee for eight innings on four hits to even the weekend series. Jungmann was effective after that first inning, holding the Diamondbacks scoreless for the next five frames. He still absorbed his second loss. The National League’s leading hitting, Paul Goldschmidt, and third baseman Jake Lamb drove in the first-inning runs. The Brewers loaded the bases in the ninth, but Brad Ziegler finally nailed down his 16th save. Matt Garza goes for his sixth win this afternoon in the rubber game of the series starting at 3:10 p.m.
