RIPON, WI (WTAQ) – Layoffs will begin in mid-October at one of two cookie plants in Ripon.
That’s what ConAgra is now telling state officials, after announcing in May it would close its west plant — which makes soft-baked cookies for private labels.
It’s scheduled to close at the end of the year, and the company says its 300 employees can apply for other jobs within the firm.
A nearby plant that makes wafer cookies will stay open.
