(WNFL) – The Kane County Cougars scored three runs in the first inning and used four pitchers to quiet the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 6-1 at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium on Tuesday.
Devin Williams started and took the loss for the Timber Rattlers. Williams lasted only three innings, allowing three runs, three walks and four hits while striking out three. Williams struggled with his control, throwing 75 pitches in three innings. Williams also uncorked three wild pitches.
The series between the Rattlers and Cougars moves to Kane County tonight. Jon Perrin (0-0, 5.79) will start the Timber Rattlers. Kane County will counter with Ethan Elias (8-3, 2.61). Game time is 6:30pm.
