(WNFL)- Bucks’ forward Giannis Antetokounmpo promises to come up “crazy” and “fancy” to try and win the NBA’s All-Star Slam Dunk Contest next month. We learned last week that the second-year forward from Greece would be a part of the main event on All-Star Saturday Night. But it was not official then, and the 20-year-old Antetokounmpo refused to confirm it until the league’s announcement last evening. The 6-11 pro, who’s nicknamed the “Greek Freak,” says he’ll talk with his brother Thanasis before finalizing his game plan. Thanasis plays in the NBA Development League for an affiliate of the New York Knicks. Antetokounmpo will go against three other newcomers to the slam dunk event the night of Valentine’s Day in New York. He’ll be the first Buck in 18 years to take part. Ray Allen was the last to do it in 1997. The only other Milwaukee player to be in the slam dunk contest was Paul Pressey in 1987.
