MILWAUKEE (WSAU-Wheeler News) A Southwest Airlines jet from Milwaukee was one of two commercial flights stopped away from the terminal after authorities got what they considered to be credible bomb threats.
Southwest flight 2492 was searched by police bomb and dog teams when it landed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The passengers were evacuated before the search was conducted.
The other plane was a Delta Airlines flight from Portland, Oregon. Both planes were escorted to the airport by F-16 fighter jets which had been scrambled.
The threats were made on Twitter.
