MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – A three-way primary will be held on February 17th for a state Senate seat given up by Republican Glenn Grothman.
It will be the de-facto general election, since no Democrats have filed in a heavily-conservative suburban Milwaukee district.
State officials have certified three GOP candidates — Assembly Republican Duey Stroebel of Saukville, Ozaukee County Board chairman Lee Schlenvogt, and Tiffany Koehler of Slinger. She ran unsuccessfully for an Assembly seat last year.
After a general election in April, the winner of the Senate post will replace Grothman — the Campbellsport Republican who won a seat in Congress last November.
