MAUSTON, WI (WTAQ) – Police in Mauston are recommending criminal charges against a 37-year-old man who allegedly spattered blood on police officers, and spit on them.
Police said they were called Sunday night to a house where the man had an altercation with his girlfriend. He allegedly grabbed a knife from her, and cut his hand.
Officials said the man flicked blood on a Mauston city officer, and later spat at a Juneau County sheriff’s officer at the county jail.
The man faces counts of substantial bodily harm and battery.
