The Atlanta Hawks showed why they’re the best in the east as they ran past the Milwaukee Bucks with a strong 4th quarter Sunday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 97-86. Atlanta outscored the Bucks 31-22 over the final 12 minutes. Paul Milsap led the way with 23 points and 16 rebounds as Kyle Korver nailed three, three point shots in the decisive period. The Bucks were led by Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo with 19 points each. Milwaukee saw it’s four game winning streak and run of 7 straight at home come to an end. The Bucks (31-24) return to action Monday night with a date against the Central Division leading Chicago Bulls at the United Center. Milwaukee is just three and half games out of the division lead. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:40 PM on 1440, 92.1 WNFL.
The Bucks on Saturday night bid adieu to center Larry Sanders, placing him on waviers after working out a contract buyout settlement. Sanders was in the first year of a four year, 44 million dollar deal. He appeared in only 27 games this season for the Bucks, beset by injury and personal issues along with a 12 game suspension from the NBA for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
