(WNFL) – The Big Ten announced its postseason volleyball awards on Tuesday, with standouts from Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin earning recognition following the conclusion of the 2015 regular season. The Golden Gophers’ Daly Santana was named Big Ten Player of the Year by a vote of the conference coaches. Nebraska’s Justine Wong-Orantes was tabbed the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year while Wisconsin’s Lauren Carlini was named Setter of the Year. Minnesota head coach Hugh McCutcheon was named big Ten Coach of the Year. Carlini’s teammate, Haleigh Nelson was also voted to the All-Big Ten first team. Wisconsin senior Taylor Morey was named honorable mention and teammate Tionna Williams was named to the all-Freshman team.
