MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – An attorney for the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board apparently accused a prosecutor of lying when he said Governor Scott Walker wasn’t a target of a John Doe investigation.
The criticism was included in an e-mail the attorney sent to special prosecutor Francis Schmitz, who was running the investigation into Walker’s campaign for governor.
Schmitz says it was “absolutely incorrect” to say he had lied.
The charge was made by former GAB attorney Shane Falk in 2014, shortly after one of Schmitz’s staff said Walker wasn’t a target.
