(WNFL) – The defending national champion University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football is ranked No. 1 in the D3football.com preseason poll. Whitewater received 18 first place votes and finished with 614 points in teh pool. Mount Union, the team which the Warhawks defeated last season to win the national title, is ranked second after receiving six first-place votes and 603 points in the poll. UW-Platteville received 36 points.
UW-Oshkosh is ranked 18th and will host UW-Whitewater on Oct. 10th.
No team from the Midwest Conference received votes.
