GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A Brown County judge has let a man go free after his sentencing for a hit-and-run crash that killed a wheelchair-bound man in January 2011.

42-year-old Mark Sperber has already served 25 months in jail after being sentenced to 10 years in prison in February 2012. Sperber, however, was granted a retrial and agree to a plea deal earlier this week to avoid it.

Part of that plea deal was the prosecution agreeing not to recommend additional jail time that what Sperber has already served.

Sperber was found guilty of the hit-and-run crash on Velp Avenue that killed John Kennedy.
