Cincinnati erupted for five runs in the 8th inning to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-3 at the Great American Ballpark Thursday night. Bryan Pena got the rally going with a pinch hit, two run home run off Jim Henderson who was charged with all five runs in two thirds of an inning. Todd Frazier and Tucker Barnhart also went deep for the Reds. Marco Estrada lasted six innings, giving up three runs on six hits and an uncharacteristic four walks. Homer Bailey got the win working 8 innings after giving up a two run, game tying double to Carlos Gomez in the top of the 7th. Jean Segura and Aramis Ramirez returned to the Milwaukee lineup. Segura went 2 for 4 with an RBI while Ramirez was hitless in four trips. Milwaukee (20-9) has lost back to back games for the first time since mid-April and they hold a five game lead over St. Louis in the division.
