MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Wisconsin has advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament.
The No. 2 seed Badgers were just too much for 15th-seeded American University. Wisconsin pulled one of its most decisive victories with a 75-35 clobbering of the Eagles.
The win was witnessed by a very loud, and very red crowd in Milwaukee.
Traevon Jackson scored 18 points, Ben Brust scored 17 and Sam Dekker added 11 as Wisconsin devastated American with a 22-5 run to close the first half.
The Eagles scored just 13 points in the second half, the fewest in a half for a Badgers opponent in the modern era.
Wisconsin will face Oregon on Saturday.
