Four adults, two juveniles charged with attempted homicide

CRANDON, Wis. (WXPR) -- Four adults and two juveniles have been arrested for trying to kill someone.

The Forest County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant Wednesday in the town of Wabeno. They arrested 45 year old Raymond Jones. He will likely face 1st degree attempted homicide charges, along with 8 other charges including strangulation and suffocation. Also charged as party to the same offenses were 38 year old April Jones, 21 year old Justine A. Bey, and 18 year old Samantha B.S. McClellan. The potential actions against the juveniles allegedly involved were not reported.

The sheriff's office says the were called Wednesday to an unidentified wooded area where the found a male badly injured. After being taken to the hospital in Rhinelander, the victim was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Deputies were said to have found a large amount of evidence in the residence.

A search warrant was conducted on a Town of Wabeno residence that resulted in numerous evidentiary items being collected and six arrests.  The investigation is ongoing.

The adults arrested and recommended charges:

45-year-old Raymond Jones is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide, strangulation, reckless injury, battery, causing mental harm to a child, contributing to the delinquency of a child, recklessly endangering safety, intimidation of a victim, and false imprisonment.

38-year-old April A. Jones is charged with being a party to the crime of intentional first degree homicide, felony failure to aid a victim, causing mental harm to a child, contributing to the delinquency of a child, false imprisonment, reckless injury, and battery.

21-year-old Justine A. Bey is also charged with being a party to the crime of intentional first degree homicide, felony failure to aid a victim, causing mental harm to a child, contributing to the delinquency of a child, false imprisonment, reckless injury, and battery. She is also charged with strangulation and suffocation.

18-year-old Samantha B.S. McClellan is charged with felony failure to aid a victim, causing mental harm to a child, contributing to the delinquency of a child, false imprisonment, reckless injury, battery,

The juveniles and their charges cannot be made public.
